I wonder if you are talking about the same type of kiwi (Actinidia sp). The
large, grocery store kiwi is Actinidia chinensis and is grown in New Zealand
and the west coast US. There are several species of hardy kiwi, A.
kolomitka, A. arguta, which have fruit about the size of a green grape. You
must take care to make sure you have a male and female of the same species,
as they have slightly different flowering times.
