The more serious plantaholics amongst you will know the invaluable
Plants magazine website (http://plants-magazine.com), devoted
exclusively to news of new plant introductions. Well, if you've
visited the site in the last few days - you'll have found that it's
vanished.
No, it's not gone for good. The site was hosted through a re-seller
of hosting services who, putting it politely, let the site's
dedicated owner Dirk van der Werff down. But the result is that the
site is down and he has no access to it. He's pursuing the problem
with the European Union's Information Commissioner - it was a
surprise to me that the EU has such a person, sounds scary - and
hopes to have the site up and running again soon. So he hasn't done a
bunk. He's simply tearing his hair out trying to get the site live
again.
