Joanie, Thanks for the link to the pics. Hadn't heard that it was poisonous but no kids or pets around so should be O.K. My kids never did tend to eat plants but that doesn't mean other mightn't.

I'm not familiar with this plant but I read that all parts of it are highly poisonous. That said, it's quite unusual and has wonderful foliage...here are

There are other species of this genus, too, but this one is often commonly
known as 'Black Hellebore'.
