The Selaginella does not make it through the winter here in Tennessee in a pot. I guess it would not be hardy for you outside with the soil frozen. We have not had a deep freeze for many years here but the last year's Easter freeze is still killing trees and shrubs for us. I know it can be grown as a house plant but I do not water houseplants and they die. Nancy Tennessee zone 6b
