The Royal Horticultural Society lists it as a separate species,
but it isn't listed as an 'accepted' name yet.

But looking at the photos online, I don't see much difference
in the flowers from what I've seen in the stores.  Not that 
it means anything, though.  :)

I absolutely love the scent of the flowers on Dictamnus.  I
think it's my second favorite after shooting stars.
