Hi Lil, I've really enjoyed these: Geranium cinereum 'Apple Blossom' http://www.hort.net/gallery/view/ger/gerciab/ It's a tight little alpinesque clumper but is covered with flowers. Appears to like good drainage and partial to full sun Geranium renardii (all cultivars) http://www.hort.net/gallery/alpha?check=renardii These have done well for me in sun or shade, wet or dry, well-drained or clay. They perform best in partial shade with good drainage. I really like the sagey-green leaves Geranium magnificum http://www.hort.net/gallery/view/ger/germg/ I love the venation. :) Geranium x cantagbrigiense 'Karmina' http://www.hort.net/gallery/view/ger/gercaka/ It's like 'Biokovo', but seems to be bear more flowers, is more robust, and pops more to my eye. I really like pairing it with yellow-variegated Hosta. I have some under a dwarf meyer lilac (Syringa meyeri 'Palibin'); the geranium blooms just after the lilac and extends the color scheme with the surrounding hosta. Geranium macrorrhizum 'White-Ness' http://www.bonvivantnursery.com/catalog/00B-0012 If you can find it, it's worth it (no, that link above doesn't point to an active nursery or available plant). It's just like the straight species, but pure white (unlike the 'Alba' cultivar). Geranium x oxonianum 'Bressingham Delight' http://www.hort.net/gallery/view/ger/geroxbd/ A tighter, more compact form of G. x oxonianum that performs just as well for me. I appreciate the smaller stature and it doesn't seem to seed around as much either.
