Hi Frank,
I recently purchased a dozen heaths and heathers at the Boston Flower Show
and unfortunately, both the heaths and three heathers have totally dropped
their needles and turned brown. I've been told from the UK Heather Society
that if they have dried out at all, they'll lose their needles eventually.
Obviously, that has happened somewhere along the line either before I bought
them or after but my question is are they completely dead? I checked one of
the heaths and the stem is green. Will they come back at all or should I just
cut my losses and pull them up? I'm in zone 6 in SE Massachusetts and have
planted this grouping of heaths and heathers around a weeping spruce hoping
for an eventual glorious display!! Let me know what you think.
Thanks,
Karen
