Jacobs ladder will grow from full sun with moister to shade-- it does best in light sun to part shade. in deep shade the plants get tall and tend to fall over during blooming. I had a hedge of jacobs labber next to my house for many years that bloomed from june to august all i had to do was cut the old spent flowering stems off-- some times even with the lwn mower. the area got four hours of sun from 1-5 pm and the rest of the time it was in indirect sun light. I like jacobs ladders both for the nice blue flowers and for the foliage-- try the pink one-- a rare and diffrent plant. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To sign-off this list, send email to majordomo@mallorn.com with the message text UNSUBSCRIBE PERENNIALS
