Sounds like a weed, called ground ivy. I think that it was originally
developed as a perennial. It tends to take over everything. I have a
big problem with it, but have been able to get it under control in the
beds, anyway. I also have a lot on my lawn.
You can try to control it with a mixture of 5 tsp of borax, with 1 quart
of water. This is sprayed on in May-June and in the fall (you would
need to hand pull anything that is around your plants). I've also found
that Round Up works just as well.
