Hi, Duncan
It al ldepends on what your plan is. You could go ahead and put them in the
their permanent home, or put the in puts to grow on. They seem to mature to
blooming size faster in the ground than in pots.
I grow them both ways: 50 or so in pots ready for sale, and a seedling bed
ready for transplanting to pots. My stock plants are grown in a sunken
kiddy wading pool, filled with old wood chips, rotted leaves and compost.
It has just the sort of moist to wet, acid soil that they love.
