Airhead, too

Well, Jeanne, we all do those things...

For my birthday, my husband took me to a greenhouse to buy some roses
(to replace the ones that had fizzled out in my 4x12 raised rose bed).
The place we went had a very nice selection, and I was completely
overwhelmed. Wandered around going "and I want one of those, and one of
those...Ooh, look at that" while my husband patiently climbed among the
thorns to get to "that one over there".

Anyway , narrowed it down to 5 plants that I thought would fill in the
gaps nicely. Took them home, arranged and rearranged them in the bed.
The next day, I started planting. As I removed the tag from one plant
that had enticed me with its description of a "tidy, neat plant", I saw
the fine print: "climbing rose". Oops!

So, I decided this one wasn't raised bed material. Now all I have to do
is find someplace to plant it! Don't know where (most of my sunny
spots are already occupied). By the way, does anyone know how big the
rose "Pinata" will get? I'm a little apprehensive about climbing roses:
I have a climbing forty-niner that has a trunk about 3 inches in
diameter and is currently trying to sneak into my greenhouse via the
roof vents.
