I have some Shasta daisies (Maximum Starburst) which have a strange brown
stain on the petals. Also, some of the petals are misshapen and some of
the leaves are stunted and curled; the damaged leaves are at the top of the
stem, near the buds and blooms. A friend reports the same problem with the
Shasta daisy, Becky. I just planted mine last spring, so had only 3 blooms
last summer and didn't notice this problem, but that's been a year ago so I
may have forgotten. Can't think of anything out of the ordinary this year,
excepting the easy winter and spring we had. I did spray the daisies with
Sevin about two/three weeks ago because I had aphids on some lilies in the
same bed. Any ideas?
