I have Funginex, also, but don't use it due it's very narrow window of
contol. It is an excellent control for black spot, but there are many
other fungal problems that it doesn't control. (Or so I recall reading
at one time.)
I currently use broad spectrum fungicides because black spot is not a
problem for me, as I don't grow, raise or sell roses.
Actually, I use very, very little fungicide at all. And I like the
systemics because I don't have to spray every two weeks. I've sprayed
the phlox once, the loniceras twice, and if the weather would clear up,
I'd put the fungicide away for the next two or three months. The
nursery has so many varieties of plants that I can't give much special
treatment. It either adapts to our generalized growing conditions or we
don't grow it a second time. And I refuse to become chemical dependant.
