I have, in my front yard, a garden as you describe. I planned it that
way. . . here's why.

I call it my *Two Way* garden. It runs the entire width of my front yard
(think 1/4 acre city lot) and is about 6 feet across. What I see of my
garden from my front window is entirely different from what a passer-by
sees. What may look like a tall plant in the front to me, looks like a
tall plant in the BACK to them, and vice versa. I can't tell you how
much conversation this method has started with the casual passer-by.

I have also crossed this long garden with a strip running perpendicular
to the original garden, effectively making a *T*. That way the neighbors
on either side get different views, as well as when I drive up the
driveway. They all think I make gardens so I don't have to cut as much
grass. I think I LOVE to see life coming from the soil.

Just my two cents here in the Harley capitol of the world (at least this
week).
