Oh, I agree! Especially when they start
cross-pollinating. You get colors never meant
for man to make without God's help!

Please, please give those columbines more of a
chance. I can't imagine a
garden without their presence! The flowers,
spurred or non, are so charming
and the color choices are wonderful. If you
want a columbine that will
knock your socks off (provided, of course, that
you like variegated plants)
then try Aquilegia 'Woodside'. If it starts
looking ratty by mid-summer,
just cut the foliage back to ground level and you
will get a new flush of
wonderful foliage. Try it, you won't regret it!
