I bought some seeds for a plant called "CANARY VINE". It looks to be
something from the nasturtium family, well, the leaves do; the flower
looks like a really beefy bright yellow honeysuckle. The back of the
seed pkg. had almost NO information, just how to plant, and when. It
was difficult to make this info out, as these seeds were ancient, found
in the back corner of the grocery store, and they'd gotten wet so the
ink on the pkg was partly gone/smeared.
I planted them, waited and waited... didn't check on them for about 2
days, and voila'! I've got seedlings that are now 2" tall! THAT was
FAST! Scary too, as it's rather quick in growth...
Does anyone have experience with this plant, and have any
recommendations/information about it?
I planted it at the edge of the woods in the BACK back yard in case it
was one of those "Jumanji vines" that just goes crazy and tries to rule
the world. It's at the base of an old rotting stump(for climbing
purposes), and if it blooms, it'll be a wonderful color addition to a
pretty "wild" looking butterfly/hummingbird bed(actually it will look
more like a carnival train wrecked back there...
red/purple/yellow/pink/etc).
Thanks,
nina
(who is hoping someone will still come forth w/some info re: Lantana's
ability to survive in the NW)
