Nina, what you're growing is probably Tropaeolum peregrinum, commonly
called "Canary Creeper", or "Canary Vine". It is related to nasturtiums,
and will grow to about 10-15 feet, given ideal conditions. I've never been
able to get it to grow more than 6 feet tall, and it's not too bushy,
either, up here in the northern reaches of zone 7, but I hear tell that
it's a fast grower in more southern climes. They like sun, but will grow
and flower in partial shade. I've started a lot of them this year, and am
growing them in containers with small vine trellises for them to climb on.
Pretty things...it should be lovely in your hummingbird bed!
