Some of the most colorful perennial herbs are Monarda(Bee Balm), they
come in a variety of vibrant colors, pinks, mohogany, red, blue/lavender
and also white!  This is in the tea family!
Also, another beautiful one is the russian sage, with it's silvery green
foliage, which blossoms  into heavenly lavender-blue plumes.  When the
blossoms fade, in the winter, the white stems remain to be enjoyed  or
picked for winter boquets.   This is a great landscapintg plant!

I have something called Purple Sage.  Is that the same as Russian Sage?  If
not, do you know if the Purple Sage blooms?
