I got one too, this last weekend. Lovely plant. One of my books somewhere or
other describes it as a shortlived perennial-so I guess three years is a
good possibility. Mine is only about 14" tall and already has 3 bloom stalks.
I also suspect that like many of the hybrid verbascums it is sterile and would
have to be reproduced from root cuttings.
