Hi Marge
Well, I bought my plants at Dietrich's (my favorite garden center) in a gallon
container. So they were good size plants. My soil, is like what many of you
have-clay. But I have amended it over the years with composted cow manure,
mulch.
I think my problem is that it is to dry (from what others have mentioned so
far). I am a 'lazy waterer'...my theory is/was, 'if they were growing in the
wild they wouldn't have someone lugging watering cans and being tangled with a
myriad of hoses, they would get watered by the whim of mother nature'....well,
that theory is not a good one! I have come to the conclusion that I will just
have to bite the bullet and do the above!
Want to thank everyone for their thoughts, ideas & suggestions. I really like
this list!
Janice
