Okay, this will tell you how new I am to gardening....
Here in the Pacific NW, a standard garden bible is Sunset's Western
Garden Book. I fall into their "zone 6", which corresponds to our
Willamette Valley. Is this the same thing Jeanne is talking about? Or
are there some other types of zones I should know about?
My Shasta daisies have been blooming for a month. But it's impossible
to tell if that's normal or not, as we had an abnormally warm winter.
Lots of plants got very confused-- I had a rhododendron that tried to
bloom in late November! Another one is just beginning to bloom now, two
months late!
