Ooops. I knew that. That you are in CT, I mean. Yeah, I'll
just bet that's what it is. Although I amend my clay & rock
soil heavily with leaf mold, compost & manure, I still need to
add dolomitic limestone for Dianthus and some others. If you
would like to minimize your risk, lime an area up nicely & get
it draining better. I'll send you a ton of seed from some of
mine. I have one that is a wild variety of magenta and white
patterns. I've had it for more than 15 ... could be 20 years.
Still going strong. I have a red & white one that is nearly as
old.
