If you are talking about Milorganite - I'm a big fan - and it's made
from sewer sludge right here in my community!. 10 months ago, I moved
into a house which had been neglected for years - yard included. I
realized that if I spread a weed killer, I'd very likely have large
spots (10-20 feet across) where there was NO grass - that's how weedy it
was. To make a long story short, and two applications of Milorganite
later, I have neighbors asking how we turned the yard around so
quickly!! It is NOT a weed killer, it simply helps the grass grow VERY
well (I LIKE to mow my lawn, so it's not a problem). I still get down
and dig weeds, but the grass is wonderful and healthy! My oak trees
have thick healthy grass under them, too.
My only caveat is that I don't use it on veggies or flowers - it seems
to produce better foliage - something I don't necessarily want in my
gardens - I garden for blooms and food!
