Dear Jeanne
Geranium 'Johnson's Blue' is pretty distinctive. The foliage is traditional
cranesbill geranium ie: rounded but slightly indented and is an overall
apple green. I'm in Cornwall, UK and mine has been in flower for over 2
weeks and will probably keep going for several months. The flowers are a
strong lavender blue and held above the foliage. If you have access to a
copy, look in the Royal Horticultural Society dictionary of plants. They
have a good photo.
Is your mystery plant in the geranium family? With the fuzzy leaf, it may be
G. renardii or G. renardii 'Phillipe Vapelle' . This has wonderful furry
foliage but the flowers are generally in loose heads. Hope you find out what
it is, it sounds quite delightful.
