Dave and Itala -
I know that I am in a much different gardening zone than you...I'm in 9...but
in thinking about it this should be to your benefit (cooler nights). I
ordered 50 Asiatic Lilies in February and didn't receive them until late
April....I didn't plant them until May.....They all came and bloomed and did
exactly what they were suppose to.....here in SE Texas it is very hot already
by May.....however, I didn't plant them in a full sun location....I gave them
a very low dose of morning sun and late after sun only.
So in my opinion I would think that in the ground or in pots they should do
well for you. BTW, after planting the bulbs - the foliage appeared within
days.
Good luck
