You are usually better off getting plants at your local nurseries where you
can judge quality versus product. When you order by mail you do not think
any thing about spending $30. Often it does not look like much when it
arrives. Always take into consideration shipping costs. I take my
catalogues to the nurseries. I used to think we could not get our speciality
plants at local nurseries. In the Boston, MA area, places like Mahoneys, and
Tomasi (Pembroke store) have plants even a plantaholic can drool over. We
have all ordered by mail. There are some decent places where the quality is
consistent. Avoid places like Michigan Bulb like the plague. Chris
