Well,
There is a VERY good chance that Vivien has solved the
mystery of my mislabeled geranium Johnson's Blue. She
suggested that I check out Campamula glomerata, which
I did, and I think she may have hit the nail on the
head. The heart shaped leaves look right and the way
the flower stem comes out of the vee of the leaf looks
right but the flowers are a little Iffy. I had a lot
of trouble finding them ..succeeded on the garden.com
website and on the Sierra web site, but neither had a
really good up close picture. The color of the
flowers is the biggest difference. Mine are a really
intense purple and at the two web sites I visited, the
color was quite different. Might there be a variant
of Campanula glomerata? Does anyone know of another
web site I could visit to get a look.?
Whatever the case, Vivien, I congratulate you on a job
well done. I am stell lamenting that I don't have
Geranium Johnsons Blue, but what the heck. I love the
ones I got.
Jeanne
