RE: Garden Parties

I am VERY interested in the answer (we are hosting an outdoors party on
Saturday to celebrate the 5th anniversary of my 2 girls' adoption from
Russia), but I'd be happy to hear off list if need be.

I had planned to set up tables w/ Skin-So-Soft so guests can help
themselves.

The downy solution sounds as if it might be terrific for gardening, even if
a little odd.

Hi, friends!

I know that this question is REALLY off topic, so don't blast me too
much...

My mom is going to have a garden party this weekend. How does one keep
flies and mosquitoes at bay? I don't want them on the guests nor the food.

My nephew has a job where he works outside all day. He says that he and
his crew wear dryer sheets pinned on their backs and they swear it keeps
mosquitos away. Since I don't have the desire to hang Downy sheets all
over the garden, and I don't think the guests would necessarily like to
wear them, I'm searching for alternatives. Especially to keep the flies
off of the food! (why is it that Martha Stewart doesn't have flies?)

Responses off list requested, unless there are others interested in this
topic, too.
