RE: Favorite perennials

I think you *did* open a can of worms!

Favorite perennials and good cut flowers are nearly two different subjects.
Your best bet would be to get a good book on cut flowers.

But from my own experience, and I also live in the PNW, one of things that I
recently noted was that regular bearded iris last forever in a vase and you
can even pick them quite a bit before opening and each flower will
eventually open.

Another flower that lasts quite long in a vase (going for all seasons here)
is daphne odora. The plant stems are rather fleshy, reminding me of sedums.
I realize this is a shrub, so you'll have to forgive me, perennial list.

Mums and daisies last a long time too. I think lilies are about the easiest
things to grow, literally no maintenance, and they will last quite long too.

Now my favorite perennials -- that would be impossible to answer and could
only *possibly* be dealt with if divided into seasons! ;-)

For mine is a little old fashioned garden where the flowers come
together to praise the Lord and teach all who look upon them to do
likewise.
