Here in south central Montana the weather has been typically fickle, We
often seem to go from winter to summer, with only about two days of spring.
It was 34 degrees this morning! A few late tulips are still blooming, along
with the last of the iberis sempervirens and myosotis. Also saponaria
ocymoides, chrysanthemum coccineum (painted daisy), bearded iris, Siberian
iris, linum perenne, anthemis tinctora, dodecatheon (shooting star),
polemonium (Jacob's Ladder), geranium Johnson's Blue, some sedums, phlox
subulata, cerastium tomentosum, oxeye daisies, dame's rocket, dicentras
spectibilis and 'Luxuriant', dictamnus, and a pink tree peony (it looks
especially lovely next to a spirea vanhouttei. A few dianthus are just
starting to bloom.
