At least after 3 months, I might go back to a source and request a credit.
However, I've faced the problem that a particular plant might not bloom for
a season or two after I've ordered it.  A prime (if extreme) example is my
Wisteria floribunda.  I ordered it 8 years ago as a blue/white bicolor.  It
finally bloomed this spring, but a very light lavender.  At this point, I
was so happy to finally have blooms that I didn't care about the color!
