Re: Monarda questions

<<<I've been thinking about your monarda problem, as I grow
several varieties and I've experienced this problem once. I
will tell you that my rule of thumb is that the "fittest will
        survive" in my garden. >>

I am also in zone 6, Boston suburbs and I had a hell of a time
with the monarda last year. It started droopy, I watered, it
got lanky, I pinched, it got bushy, then it got powdery
mildew, I thinned, it straggled, I watered, it looked toasted,
then keeled over, I got annoyed, it got put on the compost
        pile.

Maybe if I someday have a larger space to devote to
experiements, and I develop some patience, I will try again!
