Since we just got done with talking about rather drastic cutting back of
spiderwort (Tradescantia), and it was discovered that they could be cut
back earlier than many of us expected.
Since we are now on a poppy thread, when does everyone cut back the foliage
on their oriental poppies? Is it really necessary to wait until it begins
to look ratty, or can it be cut back, perhaps partially, now that the
flowers are done. I've got several clumps, so I might just experiment to
see if early cutting back diminishes the flowers next year.
Any suggestions?
