Nancy,
Some of my favorite "easy" plants are: reblooming daylilly, Rudbeckia,
Echinacea, dianthus (the perennial sweet william) new england aster,
crocosmia, coreopsis, shasta daisy,phlox, salvia leucanthus , salvia
guaranitica ( one of my favorites) salvia gregii,
verbena bonariensis,asclepias tuberosa,coleus, chelone(for shade)
Chrysanthemum superbum 'Becky daisy(yet another of my all time favorites)
Liatris spicata. These are some of the care free things I have.
Favorite shrubs:
Callicarpa, Hydrangea, aruncus dioicus, butterfly bush(buddlia)
