I have to agree with you about the white---seems to perform much better than 
the laveder.  I find that the white will bloom in shade as well as sun.  The 
white sure brightens up a dark spot.

I live in Zone 9 and my cat whiskers do not live even through the slightest 
bit of cold.  Sometimes we can get a cold front that moves in with heavy 
winds, the low temp may only be 40 degrees and three days later the cat 
whiskers has gone.  Just a little note to encourage everyone to take your 
cuttings of this plant early for he will be long gone before the first frost.
