Oh gosh, I feel bad for you, but we're in just the opposite pattern.
We've had 6 more inches of rain this spring than normal. It doesn't
come in light steady rain - it comes in buckets. Last weekend alone
they had to close part of the expressway due to flooding on the
underpasses. . . . the ground was already saturated from nearly a week
of severe thunderstorms. Last week I dug a hole for a shrub like
mentioned above and it STILL hasn't completely drained!!!
I have very heavy clay soil, and digging and dibbling around in it is
atrocious. And don't even get me started on my basement!!
I'll try to send water your way - lord knows we have plenty!!
