I like Susan's combo with her echinops. I have mine with white lysimachia
'Gooseneck' and yellow heliopsis. I've seen it paired with white phlox and
pink and white oriental lilies in White Flower Farm's catalog. There is a
'Vetch's Blue' that is supposed to be a truer, brighter blue than the
ordinary e. ritro, but mine has yet to bloom.
Think of echinops as a summer allium and you'll get the picture and the
possible combinations.
