Lillies and Astilbes

Here in Cincinnati all my lilies are in part shade. No problems, they
bloom every year. Maybe a little leggier than they should be. Some
years the rabbits really love them!
To solve the moisture requirements for the astilbe, you might consider
digging in water crystals when you plant the astilbe. The crystals seem
to work for years and would not have to be replenished often.
