Thymus S. Coccineum ?

Happy Sunshine Day -
Been hard to believe its March -- the weather is way too nice!

I have been looking at the above plants in a catalog with curiosity.
Sounds interesting. Says it grows in shady and "hard-to-plant" areas.

Have any of you had any experience with it?
Does it spread well or "too well" (as in invasive)?
Says 3" but do the flowers extend another 3"-6" above the plant?
"hard-to-plant" areas ? could mean Anything!!

TIA and hope you are all dancing in the Sunshine!
