Re: Viola lutes Splendens

Gene,
A google search (http://www.google.com/) for Viola lutea 'Splendens' brings
up a number of links.  When I can't find a plant in the plant data bases,
which is often the case with cultivars, I can usually find it by using a good
search engine.  Metafind (http://www.metafind.com/) is another good one to
use.  There is also a bonus in using a regular search engine to find a plant.
It often leads to the discovery of new gardening sites and nurseries.  Happy
surfing!  --Janis

I have recently been contacted concerning Viola lutea 'Splendens". Not
being
an ardent viola-nut, I had to look it up. Not hard to locate references on
Viola
lutea, photos on the internet of V. lutea, but I can find not mention of
"Splendens" in any reference I have here, or on the internet data bases. Is
anyone
out there aware of this cultivar (?).
