Good Morning
With a new home, I miss my lush evergreen background
that makes the plants flow in harmony. With these new
developments, all you see are two story houses. In
the past we discussed using Eucalyptus to hinder the
view of a neighbors window, but this time I'm focused
on the main garden. I missing a background...
Have you ever noticed that most of the photos you see
in magazines have a lush green background? Having a
house as a background does not cut it.
Here are my thoughts of a tree and I'm wondering what
you think. I would like to use three Sequoia
giganteam 'Weeping Sequoia'.
I have a border planting width of 10 feet. I would
place the Sequoia's next to the fence. The nice
thing of the Weeping Sequoia's, they don' t take up to
much real estate for additional plantings. Plus the
weeping provide a character and height that should
support a nice background.
Now the problem is... went to the wholesalers and the
8 footer are too heavy for a one man to drag around.
I may have to gather a few neighbors to drag theses
babies to there new home. I could mail order a
five-gallon ... but dont know where to look. I would
assume the total cost of a 5-gallon and shipping would
be the same as 8 footer, which is around 100USD
What would you do for a background?
