I purchased some bare root Peony (Karl Rosenfeld, grows to a height of
35-40", Blooms in early summer, red, double). It's in a bit of (what looks
like) starting mix and is in a plastic bag, tie wrapped. When I looked at
it earlier today, it started shoots!!! there is green growth on the inside
of the bag. It's a bit too early to plant it out and I don't know if it's
safe to leave it in the bag as is for another 6-8 weeks (when the soil warms
up). Can I plant it in a pot and let it grow at home then transplant it
safely?

Any help is appreciated,

Raven
