Goldsturm and grasses............
I like Rudbeckia Goldsturm and I love various Miscanthus.
Now Adagio is great but I prefer Miscanthus Morning Light. Now for
Miscanthus sinensis "Purpurascens" it is only hardy in zone 7/8, so you grow
it as an annual and it takes most of the season to get to size.
I have grown Miscanthus sinensis "Strictus" in combo with Rudbeckia nitida
"Herbstonne (6/7 ft) and it's a great paiir. Now M.s."Zebrinus is a little
taller than M.s. "Strictus" and floppy so go with Strictus; the yelleo bands
play off the yellow flowers very nicely. "Herbstonne can get to6-7 feet so
cut it in half mid June and you'll keep it at 4-5 feet. Goldsturm will also
do nicely but in my planting I needed the height.
