Nancy - I do not know how large they will be when you get your new plants but 
if they do not send out good sized bare root plants - I would start them off 
as you normally would-just covering the root/stem junction and when fall 
comes then move them to deeper soil.  You want to have a good piece of 
"Woody" root to plant deeper but if they send out plants without the "Woody" 
root structure its-best to let your plant grow one over the summer. Small 
potted pants probley only have a small piece of root with smaller roots
Now I have made it more complicated have I not-sorry.
