Thank you Bill and Nancy (who both suggested Jetfire). That name rings a
bell with me and it certainly fits your description. So I will look for
Jetfire in the bulb catalogs, but I'm pretty sure I bought these bulbs
locally. I must have gotten a good deal on them because I sure have a lot
of them, but I really like the color combo and they have been in bloom for a
looong time.

That's not much to go by, Marilyn. Do the petals reflex backward--a
cyclamineus daffodil? Is this a very early one for you? If it does have the
cyclamineus reflexed petals, Jetfire comes to mind. I can't offhand think of
a true miniature daffodil that has the orange long cup you described. If it
is Jetfire, it should be readily available. But it's not strictly speaking
a
miniature as the daffodil world specifies a miniature. Maybe Linda has a
better suggestion?
Here in Cincinnati, we have winter aconites and early crocuses blooming and
one colchicum luteum in bloom. No daffodils are showing buds yet, but it
won't be too long after 2-3 days in the 60s.
