I also grew some Persicaria 'Red Dragon' last year, and I didn't think it
would survive the Wisconsin winter, so I took cuttings and have been growing
it on in a dining room south window. And I have taken several cuttings of it
through the winter, and am totally amazed at how quickly it roots in water -
a matter of 2-3 days. Then I do the gradual adding of dirt thing. Now I'm
looking forward to out last average frost date (May 15 around here) to plant
it out again.
