I learn a lot from this site and would like some advice.
My son just bought a house in Sunnyvale, CA and asked for some advice for a 
section of  the garden.
I am from NY. Any good plantings for full sun would be appreciated, He is 
not an experienced gardener , so plants that aren't very demanding would be 
the best.
I thought a mixed bed of perennials and a few other plants would be nice.

Thanks for any suggestions.
