Re: spring might just be here


Just look closer.
Peony buds edging both out of the ground on herbaceous types and swelling on
the stems of the tree forms.  Fuzzy catkins open on pussy willows.  Magnolia
buds fattening up.  Lilac buds evident.  70 degrees today. but, of course,
it's supposed to be cooler and rain all day Friday, my day off.  I pulled
out  almost 30 pots of tulips from under the leaves to bring in to force
hopefully into bloom for an event 4/16.  They were already up 6 inches.
Lycoris leaves up about 4inches out of the ground, too.  and Dogwood buds
getting the tinyest bit bigger. My newest Pulmonaria, 'Smokey Blue', is in
bloom, too, with new leaves.  Every time I look, there's a little more to
see.
