Never heard dry before for hellebores.  They will take dry conditions in fall but really would like adequate moisture all year round.  I got seeds for Hellex and grew those.  Now they are making seeds and I am trying to deadhead like crazy.  Certain ones I like better than others of course but the bees like them all.  Then the quality is iffy since the bees to not care if I want better and better flowers.

Finally getting some doubles coming up where I did not plant them.  They hang their heads down but still pretty on my slopes.

I bought Gene’s book when it first came out.  Been on his blog too.  I think the mini plants are so cute and could be planted in a large shallow container, kiddy swim pool  or in ground.  Everyone is growing the little plants so Gene is just going to be “up to date”.  We gardeners will figure some way to garden and watch the world turn green in the spring time.  Nancy

Awe lovely, I bought three for my late sister but had't a clue how to look after them so they were poor specimens at Christmas.

Maybe this yeear they will be better.

I think they said the plants had to be kept dry and I may have kept them too dry.
