Re: Theme Gardens, Tigger the tiger, suggestions please

I'm sorry about the loss of your pet, Matt. Your "Tigger Garden" sounds like
a wonderful memorial.

How about some striped garden phlox? I can't think of the variety names at
the moment, but there are several, mostly coloured fuchsia and white or red
and white I think.

For an annual accent, try some variegated spider plant or ornamental grasses.

And don't forget the Tiger lilies!

Subject: Theme Gardens, Tigger the tiger, suggestions please

We recently lost our brindel Great Dane named Tigger. I'm planting a small
garden to remember him by.
So far I have striped crocus (blooming now) and a Batik iris (in addition
to the striped bloom, I got it from our vet! I was in to get Tigger some
regular pills, and the girls were talking about their iris order with
Schrieners. I asked them if I could give them the money for a Batik and
have them order it for me. Now thats a great group of people! <VBG>)
I was going to get some Tiger lilies (inspite of the virus problems to
other lilies) and put a small variagated dwarf boxleaf euonymous at each
corner. I was thinking of reordering a Purple Tiger floribunda rose from
J&P, lost one 2 winters ago when it was really cold.
Any one have any striped bloom suggetions? Or something with the name
Tigger or tiger in it?

Thanks
